Some weeks ago I got a call from a father that wanted to give a musical wedding gift to his daughter. I liked this idea a lot, and “Allegro appassionata” is the result from this demand. The piece is constructed over a theme from Magne Idar Våge.
I have written two arrangements for soprano solist and female choir on “Om kvelden” (In the evening) by Arnulf Øverland. The melody is a norwegian folk tune.The two arrangements have different degrees of difficulty. You can see a demoversion of the arrangements here: [divider_padding]
The Karin Boye oratorio “Oändligt är vårt stora äventyr” was performed in Stokka church (Stavanger/Norway) March 11th by Ann-Kristin Sørvåg (soprano), Odd-Børge Sagland (percussion), Kiril Kutin (piano), Lars Inge Tjøstheim (organ), the female choir “Etterklang”, Stavanger oratorio choir and myself as conductor.
