Dressed for a wedding is recorded in Arendal Trinity church on the new Mühleisen organ. Ole Karsten Sundlisæter plays Wedding Music, mainly by Norwegian composers. On the CD you’ll find Sundlisæter’s Wedding March, Intermezzo and Wedding Fantasy, Ludvig Nielsen’s great reworking of Norwegian wedding music and folk tunes, Händel’s festive Arrival of the Queen of Sheba, Per Hjort Albertsen’s Anne Turtoms psalm tone, Henning Sommero’s Sursum Corda, Edvard Grieg’s Wedding Day at Troldhaugen and Derek Bourgeois’s Serenade for organ. The composer and organist Ole Karsten Sundlisæter (1976) graduated as a Cantor at the Trøndelag Conservatory in Trondheim, Norway (NTNU) gaining the highest honours in solo organ playing. Sundlisæter is also a qualified teacher and has studied conduction and composition. Study continued in Paris (at the Conservatoire National de Région in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés) where he was awarded the highest awards in harmony, instrumentation and organ performance. Since 2011 he is a full-time freelance composer, concert organist and conductor. Sundlisæter is a member of the Norwegian Society of Composers.
